When we hear the word ‘environment’ we tend to think of global warming, endangered species, pollution, famine – major issues that can seem overwhelming. But ‘environment’ also relates to the space around you – your home, where you study, where you work, where you relax – your village or town and the countryside around.
We can all make a contribution to creating the right environment, whether it’s within our local community or helping to solve global problems.
These contacts will help you to investigate environmental issues and find out about how you can get involved in activities ranging from recycling waste material to re-building communities that have been destroyed by natural disasters.
